1. Who are we?

The Rubicon Trail Foundation is a non profit, incorporated organization dedicated to the Rubicon Trail of El Dorado County, Eldorado National Forest, California. We are a public benefit corporation striving to enhance the enjoyment of the Rubicon Trail and to preserve responsible recreation on the trail for future generations, while providing educational benefits to the trail users. We are governed by Articles of Incorporation and bylaws administered by the Board of Directors.

2. When do we meet?

We meet quarterly in the Sacramento/Placerville area. Meetings are announced here and on the Friends of the Rubicon email network. We have Directors and Officers who manage the Foundation.

3. Can the public attend our meetings?

The public is welcome to attend our meetings.

4. How do I donate to help the Foundation and the Rubicon Trail?

We welcome donations and contributions to the Foundation.

5. What is our relationship to the Friends of the Rubicon (FOTR)?

FOTR is an independent, informal coalition of volunteers who routinely work on the trail and conduct projects through El Dorado County and the USDA Forest Service, Eldorado National Forest. Rubicon Trail Foundation is a California non-profit incorporation for public benefit. The Foundation will work with FOTR on projects, educational outreach and grant applications as appropriate. As applicable, FOTR will be the work force for objectives and goals set by the Foundation. There is no official connection with the corporation and FOTR.
